PERDÓN Y AMÉN

PERDÓN Y AMÉN
Capsule collection for Leandro Cano SS19

There are two starting points for his inspiration. On the one hand, the religious iconoplastic imagery like never before seen, brought to the present through an explosion of color and creativity, and on the other hand, the use of craftsmanship and its different techniques. Based on these premises, Verbena Madrid has created three crown proposals for the collection, developed by expert craftsmen and the Verbena team.

The three crowns made share aesthetic lines such as symmetrical arches, fusion of various types of craftsmanship, and color range. They are all an ode to creativity based on the inspiration and proposal of Leandro Cano's collection. Materials such as raffia, wooden beads, crystal fruits, and various trimmings are combined, allowing the viewer to travel to an illusory and fun universe where color and volume are the main features.

With the name "Perdón y Amén", Leandro Cano presents his proposal for the Spring/Summer 2019 season and the closing of a trilogy of spectacular collections. Season after season, his proposals are characterized by the use of craftsmanship as a differential value, giving rise to the creation of delicate, architectural, and feminine garments.

VERBENA SOBERBIA The different levels achieved with arches and the application of various shades of green create a sensation of depth and movement. Crowned with a large wooden bead flower with an embroidered raffia pistil and numerous leaves whose branches have intricate details combined with wooden beads and crystal fruits.

VERBENA LUJURIA Several raffia arches branch out at different heights, topped with red raffia carnations. On one side, there is an explosion of color and volumes, where a crochet flower is born.

VERBENA GULA Based on one of the firm's most representative silhouettes, embroidered arches are presented inside, to which small warm-toned crystal fruits have been incorporated. At their ends, crochet cords fall at different levels crowned with red raffia carnations.
